Why do we need to sleep?

Why i feel i need to sleep all the time?

  • i m 34 yr old man, single, work as an architect. i m 183cm (6ft) and about 115kg.. yes i m over wieght. and i dont workout at all, and as i m signle it is very rare to eat a home made food.. just fast foot restuarant and frozen things that can heated through the microwave no matter how much i sleep i feel i need to sleep by noon.. and after noon.. and ofcourse in work i cannt take a nap (not talking about few mins, i feel like i need to sleep 2 hours or more) and sometimes i sleep while i m driving back home. how to cure my self from this feeling of sleep deprived?

    I to was where you are, it does seem pointless to cook for one but fish and salad, salad sandwhiches, homemade salad tubs, boiled eggs, chicken, stir fry veg are all easy, quick healthy meals. alot of this fast food stuff causes you to be tired and sluggish and already made frozen meals have very little nutrition, have your iron levels checked and on a day off cook up a lot of meals your self,put into containers and freeze, if you dont have a microwave oven invest in one and after a long days work, walk inside pop a meal in microwave, take your shower to unwind and relax and by the time your finnished your meal is ready. reduce your bad carb intake. i invested in a tread mill and a set of weights, started out walking for 15 mins on treadmill and doing 10 mins weights and stretching before bed, i got my energy back and had the best nights sleep. good luck mate hope this helps
