Is having a bad reaction to alcohol uncommon?

Did I just have a bad reaction to alcohol?

• I am 19 and drank for the first time this weekend. The boy I went to the party with poured a little jack Daniels into a glass of dr pepper for me because I don't like beer. After I drank two of these I didn't feel drunk and we left the party because I had to be home. When we got to the house my mom was still awake ( I was under the impression that she had gone to bed) and I kind of freaked out a little bit. I got really hot and was convinced that she could smell it on us. He is a pretty frequent drinker and had only had two beers so he was okay to drive. He is 21 and much more experienced than me. Was I just freaking out thinking I was going to get caught or did the alcohol make me that hot?

  both. Remember, alcohol isnt a drug, its a poison, so ur body is going to behave differently, even after just one drink, and in this case, it heightened ur paranoia.
