How do I properly dry Bamboo?

Is bamboo cultivation profitable? and possible in dry area?

• I have 4 acres of land in my home town, I like to grow bamboo. Is growing bamboo profitable business? What kind of bamboo should I grow. The weather in my region is primarily semi-arid tropical monsoon type with high mean temperatures and a low humidity. Temperature ranges from 20c to 37c. The area receives scanty rainfall. Can bamboo grow in this kind of climate? Or please suggest me profitable long term (1 year to 10 years) trees or crops with less irrigation and suitable for my area climate (no agricultural crops please – labor scarcity here).
