Baking soda for face?

I burned my face with baking soda?

  • I wanted to try a mask on my neck because I broke out a little bit and I needed a quick fix. I heard that water and baking soda help acne, so I tried it in the middle of my neck. It started to burn, so I hopped in the shower to take it off. It has been about a week since it has happened and it still burns and it is red and hot. I have tried icing it, putting on aloe vera and moisturizing it with non-fragranced lotion (Cetaphil). It still hurts and is red. I am icing it now. My skin is obviously very sensitive. What do you recommend I do? My dermatologist doesn't have an appointment open until NEXT MONTH!!

  • Answer:

use vitamin e lotion or from a capsule and rub it on it softly. try not to get it too wet with water when you ice it too. this have never happened to me, but i wish you luck
