What is a really good and effective ab workout?

What's a good ab/arm workout for a teen girl?

  • I'm a 16 year old girl, and I used to be really fit & eat healthy & run almost every day. But then I became depressed, I completely stopped exercising and turned to food to cope with my emotions. Well now I'm fat, lazy, unfit and have trouble with binge eating. I really want to get healthy. I've been eating a lot healthier, and I haven't binged in 5 days. I'm walking my dog 20 min every day, and every second day I walk/jog/run on my treadmill for 20 min (trying to get it up to 30-45 min) On the day's that I don't run on my treadmill I want to do an ab/arm workout, a leg/butt workout OR an all over body workout. One day a week I let my body rest, and usually treat myself to something unhealthy when I'm hanging out with friends. Today I was going to do an ab/arm workout, so I got my music blasting and got on my yoga mat. But I didn't know what to do. I did some push ups, crunches, etc... but I don't think it was very effective. I want a good ab/arm workout routine that will get my body in shape in a month or so. Please remember I'm a beginner and haven't worked out in a long time, so I'm really weak. Thank you so much for answering :)
