How long will my braces take to close my gap?

  • I had my braces put it about 2 weeks ago and the total amount of time i have them in is 12 months. I just wanted to know how long it will take to close the gap in my two front teeth. Its not that big but i can fit a coin in there lol thats just how big it is.

    I had my braces for the exact same reason as you. For me, and this is also the case for many other people with braces, the teeth straightened fairly quickly. After about 2 months the gap was closed, but it is necessary to have them on for the remainder of the time. However depends on how persistent your gap is; in total I only had my braces on for 9 months at the most, but my friend who also had them for a gap had hers on for over a year. Stick with it, however long it takes because trust me it's worth it. :)

normally like 6 mos.. it's fast actually if that's the only problem.. and make sure to use your retainer after removing your braces.

I would say about 4 months my ones have been in for 7 months and have closed about half a gap of a molar but it depends on your teeth
