I taught myself how to do both. Front handspring work on kicking/going over in your handstand that way you can actually flip over, you get that by taking a big jump before going into your handstand. Then do it in one motion by jumping handstand/flip over. This is a quick motion compared to the front walkover. The front walkover you need to do a bridge which I'm sure you can do. Then you jump/hurdle into your handstand and kick over into a bridge. Keep your chest up so that you can sustain the bridge and not fall. The main difference between the 2 is that in your handspring your hands push then come off the floor ie; handspring and for the walkover keep them planted and land into your bridge. Front handspring I taught myself when I was little always flipping around so I don't remeber how quick I worked on it, but front walkover was like a couple days of not really concentrating or working on that specifically. Good luck and be careful do this on carpeting or mat.

the only thing i want to add to what Jenna said is try practicing on a trampoline then grass then a floor if you're brave enough try it in the pool I do Irish dancing and i always practice new steps in the pool (unfortunately i have never been able to do a handstand let alone a front handspring and a front walkover!)
Those use 2 totally different skill sets. Unless you are a gymnastics prodigy or a professional athlete there is no chance you will learn one of these( not to mention both) in one day. Assuming you are... I'd say hire a gymnastics instructor that one day for as many hours as you can afford. Assuming you are not... Practice hand stands as often as possible this will help with both the handspring and the walkover. Work on your overall muscle strength, concentrating on the upper body and chest. When I took gymnastics I used a "cheese mat" an inclined mat, you start at the highest part and bend backwards staring straight the whole time. Back bends will also help, and make sure to stretch before and after practicing, I'm sure you know this from dancing but with gymnastics its pertinent. Good Luck!!
