What is the Rockette summer intensive?

If I make it into the rockette summer intenSive am I good enough to be a rockette?

• It's an audition thing but does everyone make it or do I have something special if they accept me?

  It's an audition thing...you need to be able to do a jazz and tap combo they teach you and you have to be able to do a double pirouette and eye high kicks. No it doesn't guarantee that you will become a rockette, but it does let you train from rockettes. There are 10 scholarships available and I think they take somewhere around 30 girls. There is a tv show on MSG Varsity here in NY and it's called the Rockette Summer Intensive and it's in it's second season. It follows high school girls from our area trying to make it in, the first 2 shows this season were nothing but the audition process. If they accept you great, if they don't you can always try again next year. I would check out their website to see when auditions for 2013 will be.
