Is having a bad reaction to alcohol uncommon?

Seriously bad reaction to hot tub, alcohol seemed 10x stronger.?

• Last weekend my friends and I were having a soak in the hot tub, we'd all had roughly the same amount to drink (about 4 or 5 shots and a couple of beers each). 1 of my friends appeared far more drunk than the rest of us. when he got out to go home he stumbled around and knocked into things as though he'd had quite a lot more to drink than the rest of us, we didn't think much of it until i called him about half hour later to see if he'd made it home.. (about a mile) He sounded out of breath and kept saying he was almost there, when i called him back again 10 minutes later he sounded very confused and could hardly speak. I kept asking him where he was and trying to get some information out of him so we could go find him as something was obviously not right.. He couldn't really tell me where he was and just kept asking me to help him... In the end it turned out he was knocking on the door of where his parents used to live at 6 years ago before they moved away, which luckily is just a few doors down from my folks place so as they heard him shouting in the street they called me.. when i found him he was bleeding as he'd fallen onto his face at least a couple of times and was barely able to stand.. Over a week has past and he still cannot remember anything at all from that night.. The weird thing is we've all drunk ourselves into a stooper before in that tub and never had anything like that happen before.. and certainly not from such a small amount of alcohol. He went to the doctors a few days later and they said its very common that people get dizzyness or can pass out after drinking in a hot tub. Has anybody ever had or seen anyone have similar effects to this?

  normal. When you are in a hot tub your blood circulates faster. As your second to last line says, its very common.
