How to cook a Roast pig?

Best way to cook a London Broil Roast?

  • I bought London Broil Roast and I also bought a McKormick roast bag to cook it in. I am gonna cut potatoes, carrots, and onions to put in it. My grandparents are coming for dinner and I want it to be perfect. Is there a special way or a specific amount of time I should cook this roast? I have made regular beef roasts before but never a London Broil roast, so I am looking for some good tips.

  • Answer:

A good quality roast should be roasted "plain" (not in a BAG!) in a 325F oven for 20 mins per pound. That is according to Merle Ellis, professional butcher and author of "Cutting Up in the Kitchen" about ALL kinds of meats. That'll be 5-cents, please.

Brown the London broil then put it in a Crockpot with about 2 cups of water with quartered potatoes, carrots, celery and onion and cook on low for about eight hours...TENDER! When I buy a beef roast I always get a London broil and it is ALWAYS tender

Marinade it with french dressing for 48 hours. I've done this and it tastes good. Thanks for the thumbs down.
