What Is Homework?

What are your points on not having homework?

  • My middle school's budget is not turning out good. I know some people that doesn't do homework and still passes the tests. I know homework is supposed to be practice for real life, but hey, school is practice for real life too. I think we shouldn't have homework so that we can save trees, therefore saving more money and going greener. Also, homework at home can weaken family relationships. Like, a mom is pushing her son to do chores but the son has homework and cannot do his chores. See, we do so much outside of school, homework puts a lot of stress on people and it should be banned. What are some more pointers of yours on homework being banned?

    JUST DO IT!!! gawd you need it judging by "I know some people that doesn't do homework and still passes the tests." PLEASE DO... its scary how the youth of today are not even the least bit concerned with the long term ramifications of such sloth actions.

Homework is the application of what you learn. Writing a paper on a book makes you really think about what the book means to you. Countless repition of math processes help embed them in your memory. Without homework and benchmark testing, you're crippling your ability to learn. And yes, homework does teach you about real life, as in time management. People in middle school can have home, school, and social lives without issue.

Personally I hate homework but I do it cause I understand that it helps us in the real world. We need education for a job, money and somewhere to live. If your unemployed you won't be accepted for a house and will struggle with finance But I think homework shouldn't be banned but kids shouldn't get as much

also, in the real world, you get paid for overtime, or homework for us, so they should prepare us for the real world by paying us to do homework! :) they won't do that so then banning homework would be the fair thing to do :) right now I'm procrastinating and not doing 2 chapters of geometry, a thick geometry packet, and a 2 page essay. I'm gonna die tomorrow lol
