How to start in nursing?

Vet nursing - when/how to start the training?

• Hi, I decided to start course as a veterinary nurse this year (hopefully) - I found and contacted a college in the chosen area, sent them my qualifications (I'm not from the UK). They said that first I need to become employed within an approved training practise and then they would set an informal interview (to test my English etc.). What I'm asking is: How do I apply for the veterinary nurse practice and how long before the course starts (September)?? I would be very grateful if somebody (preferably with this experience) could explain this to me a bit further, how it works you know. Also, I'm pretty sure this training is not paid so I will need a part time job while studying, anyone with this experience? Thank you! :) p.s. I don't know if this makes any difference for the training now, but I am not living in the town of my chosen college yet (I'm going to move within few months, early enough to start the course).

  You will never complete the course or even qualify for entry unless you are resident in the UK and can support yourself for this period, usually 4 to 5 years, so unless you can do this, it’s pointless even coming here. Far better to stay in your country and do the course there.
