How much work should I be doing for A-level?

My teacher is accusing me of handing in work by another person?

  • I'm studying English language AQA at alevel and the teacher said my work is too advanced to be my own work. It was my work, and I spent a whole week working on it to make it good as I need AAB for my top choice university. I was on a C in this subject and I don't know what grade i've achieved because my teacher refuses to Mark the piece of work. What can I do to make sure I receive the Mark I deserve? And can she do this? What are the rules regarding coursework?

  • Answer:

Bring in your rough drafts and the work that will verify that it is your own work. When a student has been lazy and turned in nothing but mediocre work for 3/4 of the school year, and then they suddenly turn in a truly outstanding piece, it is difficult to believe the work was done by the same student. After all why would someone who has been capable of "A" work all along, belittle themselves so much by turning in inferior work all school year? In the work world you can't just get by by doing the littlest possible and then on pink- slip day suddenly work your very best, and expect to be saved.
