What jobs are available with a B.A. in Criminal Justice?

Should I get a BA in engineering and a minor in Criminal justice or the other way around?

  • I like math and science but I also really like Criminal Justice. I'm trying to choose the path that will open the most doors but will still give me the best of both subjects. I'm working on a forensics criminal justice degree but I sometimes feel that will limit what I can do. Also if I got an engineering degree which would be the most helpful in the criminal justice field?

  • Answer:

Study for the engineering major. You will probably earn twice as much money as most criminal justice majors. Few engineering careers involve criminal justice, which is a very easy major compared to engineering. Would you rather be an engineer of a probation officer? There are many more job opportunities for engineers. Trying to combine the two fields would lead to a very narrow range of job opportunities and I do not see any reason to try to do that.

It completely depends on what you are passionate about in your life. But if you ask me, I would recommend Engineering as it gives you more flexibility and options
