What do I need to become an ultrasound technician?

• I want to know everything..what classes I need, how long it will take. I have done research but not everything is the same, some is just confusing!! Help!!

  Call your local community college and set up an appointment to speak with an academic advisor. They will be able to give you all the information you are looking for in one short appointment. They can even help you set up your schedule and figure out a plan for the next 2 years or so. The community college is your best bet because they will give you a good eduction at a decent price. They cost much less than one of those career colleges you hear advertised on the radio or TV. Also many of your classes will be transferable to a 4 year college/university if you ever decide to go back to school and further your education. All schools make up there own curriculum and name their classes different things and sometimes it can get rather confusing. I have several friends who went through the community college program and they are all employed. They all make decent money and have very good health care benefits. PS: I went to a community college for my first year of college and I had a very good experience I would never tell you to go somewhere that would give you a substandard education.
