Can I get inot med school with a B.S. degree in IT and an AA in Biology?
-
I completed a Bachelors in IT and continued on to complete a masters in project management however after working in the field of IT I have realized I do not want to do this the rest of my life! I noticed that I would need several pre-requisite classes for med-school and was wondering if I would be able to get in by going back and completing an associates with a major in biology or would I have to pursue a second bachelors degree first?

Answer:
There are between 10 and 12 premed classes you must take in college in order to apply to med school, along with a high GPA and MCAT score. No, you cannot take those courses at a community college - med schools won't accept them. Your only option at this point is to do a post-bacc program in premed.
