Is a Computer Science Degree considered a technical degree?

Questions about getting my masters degree in Computer Science?

• Hey guys! I need some advice and I have some questions about computer science degrees. I've always been really good with computers and everyone tells me I should pursue a career dealing with computers. I already have my AA out of the way and I'm planning on pursuing my masters degree because it will cost me and take me the same amount of time and money as getting my bachelors degree if I hadn't started college classes early.(I'm only 17, I dual enrolled). SO, my question is, what EXACTLY would I be able to do with a computer science degree? I know you can get a good programming job but would I be able to do anything else? For example, web design? Or would you have to have a web design degree for that? I have a friend who owns his programming business and he's already offered me an internship once I complete more schooling and I'm in actual programming classes. Are there alot of job options after you have your computer science degree? Do alot of people work from home? If you have this degree, or something similar, OR if you just know the answer, what is the average salary in this job field? I'm sorry if i'm rambling and confusing, I just don't want to commit to something that I won't enjoy. Thanks!

  You do realize you get a Master's after a Bachelor's, right? You can't get one or the other. You get one and then apply for the other. You can find a lot of work with a Master's in Computer Science. I live in California and my girlfriend is applying to these jobs and they all pay $90,000+ (one is $140,000). She is focusing on software engineering. To do web design you need classes and experience in it and usually a degree in it.
