What's the difference between an RN and a BSN?

What is difference between RN and BSN in nursing? 10 pts?

I'm currently in a community college.. right now.. i'm studying 2 years here.. and then i'm transferring my credits to a university. My academic program states that i'm PreNursing.As. I want to work in a hospital and i was wondering which one should i go for RN or BSN? and if i want to be a Pediatric Nurse which one is it? Thank you very much.

The path to career is a correct path to becoming a nurse. One may be become a nurse by taking the essential courses at a community college PreNursing courses to and earning an AS degree. However, the registered nurse has completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and is qualified take the state nursing exam and become licensed meet in the state where the exam was taken. When that person takes and passes the state licensing exam for nurses, opportunities are broadened. The scope the the education is broader with the the BSN and taking the state licensing exam means that e job responsibilities are also expanded. A registered nurse has a license from the state indicating that he/she has met added requirements to enter the nursing profession and practice nursing in a hospital or a nursing home. Good luck.
