How to move on from your job?

How can some people move to Los Angeles without any money and job?

• I live in Sweden and I study engineering at University and I've never violated the law, yet I struggle to be able to move to America. I can't get enough money to move. But I see foreigners on TV who don't have any money, nor education, nor job, being able to move to America. Many of them can't even speak English. How do they do it? How do they move to America without any money and job? I'm sick and tired of Sweden, I hate this place and I want to live in America

  Trust me, living anywhere without money sucks. I live in Los Angeles, and while L.A. can be a near-paradise if you're rich, it can just as well be a near-hell if you're poor. L.A. is a relatively expensive place to live, and not having much money usually means you wind up living in a ghetto area where people have iron bars on their windows to keep out the burglars, where gangs drive by and shoot each other on the street. The illegal aliens you see here, who can't speak English, aren't happy living under those conditions. They're just desperate. Their homelands are so bad off that the only way they can feed their families is to come to the U.S. and take whatever crap job they can get, in hopes of sending money back to their families at home. Since the cost of living is cheaper in Mexico than here in the U.S., the money they are paid here (even for bad jobs) seems like a lot to them at first, until they realize that the high cost of living here eats up most of whatever benefit they might get from the arrangement. The bottom line is that if you don't make at least $50,000 per year (in US dollars), you're not going have very much fun in California. (And it would help to make a lot more than that, especially if you have a family to support.)
