My phone won't charge?

My phone wont charge!?

  • i have a samsung Galaxy s 4g, and i wont charge! i mean my phone will charge, but i have to move it tor wards the front. i was told that it was a short in the charger so i changed chargers...TWICE! i don't want to have to by a new phone so i was just wondering if someone would know what was happening. take note that my phone will charge, it just has to be moved with some force towards the front of the phone

    Sounds like there is a faulty connector for the usb port that is commonly used for charging the phone. Or dirt is blocking the connectors properly. I read in an online forum a while back, that someone managed to solve the problem by cleaning the USB port with a cotton bud and cleaning alcohol. You could try that and see if dirt is the cause of the connectivity issue. If your Galaxy S 4G is still under warranty and cleaning the ports don't work, it would be best to send it to a nearby Samsung service center to have it looked at and possibly fixed the connectors.

i think that happens to every other brands. I had the same problem too. The problem with mine is that a part inside the socket is a little loose, and you have to carefully adjust the connection with the charger to get the circuit starting, sometimes by pushing it inner starts the charging, or by changing a little amount of angle, but later it won't work because the loose socket will adjust to the force you're applying, and i don't recommend that, it may only cause more problems. Just take that to your trusted electronics dealer and tell them the problem so they can fix it.
