How can I get a loan without a job?

Can first time home buyers get a loan without a job?

  • We are looking for a home in another state and once I get out of the Army we won't have a job until we get to the state that we are looking to move to. Are there home loans for first time home buyers that we can get without having a job? (We are able to put 10% down payment on a home...we just need to get a home loan)

    Not going to happen. You need 2 years of steady employment with tax returns to back it up. Make sure you have no credit card balances, since this directly reduced the amount of home you can qualify for. I have actually seen people run up credit cards to get a down payment together. This does not work.
