How can i get a higher credit score?

i recently had my credit score report and it was reaaallly bad! i didnt miss any payment on my credit card but what caused it is the number of attempts for applying a loan. see, i am just living here in canada for over a year and last year i tried to purchase a brand new car. i went to a dealer and they helped me get a loan, they said i should give a big amount of downpayment since i don't have credit history yet so i would get approved of my loan. and so i did, and i was approved. but i didn't know that they contacted almost all the banks here, and most of them i got denied because i don't have credit history yet! and now my credit score is so low, :( i wasnt irresponsible of managing my credits. if i only knew that the dealer would do that, then i shouldn't have gotten a loan for a car. and do you guys have any idea on how long will it take to get my credit score up higher?

If multiple lenders pulled your score when you were applying for an auto loan within a couple of weeks time period this should not have had a great impact on your credit score. You may want to pull your credit reports and see what is on them. Meanwhile, keep paying that auto loan on time and you will see your score increase. Good luck.
