  • I want to make a credit card, but I don't have a job yet. I just want to put money and then be able to pay from it on the internet and also to be able to receive money on it from transfers. I'm not 21 yet and I don't have a job yet. I just want to put money and take it out later. what is this card called and what are their conditions? I don't want it to be linked to my parents accounts. I know I need to have steady income but I will not be in debt to the bank, I will just receive what I depoosited back.. I'm not experienced with finances so sorry if I am sounding gullible.

You are talking about PayPal. And if you have money in the bank, you can apply for a credit card. lt will be one with a small credit limit, but everyone starts somewhere. So google PayPal, and talk to your bank

What you are describing is a DEBIT card not a credit card. If you want to get a prepaid debit card that works on the internet without having a bank account (a better idea) you can get a green dot prepaid card that allows reloads. The Walmart money card also works this way. Each will carry monthly fees. A better approach would be to open a free checking account at a local credit union that has a debit card attached. You then can link PayPal to it as others describe. go to bankrate.com and search for local credit unions in your area that offer free accounts. You can open an account by yourself after you have reached age 18. A credit card will require you to be age 21 to open. But CREDIT is different than DEBIT. A credit union can help explain this to you.
