What hours should i work at mcdonalds?

Im 18 years old and i got 600 dollars saved up and work at mcdonalds averaging about 9 hours a week?

  • I make 7.40 a hour. But i also have a job at home making 8 dollars a hour and when i am not working at mcdonalds i am working at home. I get payed under the table at home, can I take a bank loan out for a car if I put that 600 dollars for a down payment?

    there is no under the table mom and dad pay you big deal :) your not a tax dodger. you are not getting a car loan without a co signer till you are making 18,500 a year and have been for 2 years

Never finance a depreciating asset. Save up and pay cash for a good used car. If you only have $600 in savings, then you must not have a lot of extra room in your budget for a car payment. If you were putting $300 or $400 every month into savings, then you might be able to afford a car.

you can use the $600 as a downpayment, but you will not qualify for any kind of car loan with a 9-hours a week job. The under the table job pay won't count since you can not prove that income. In fact, you may want to be more discreet about that under the table pay. The IRS may come knocking on your door for those unpaid taxes.

You can't get much car for $600 down, and you can only declare legitimate income. So you should save quite a bit more unless you just want a $2000 car. Not many places will give you a car loan if you're only reporting a 9 hour a week job. You almost have to pay cash for the car with that going on.
