How long are my longboard wheels?

One of my longboard wheels move slower than the rest. how can i fix this?

  • i went boarding in the rain a while back, ya know, good for sliding and such. when i got back i put my board away and went to bed. this morning i go and spin my wheels just to see how they're doing. all go different speeds and stop at different times, only one still works how it did yesterday. one hardly even spins, it does one loop around and just stops. know any way to fix this? btw i have the landyachtz switchblade 36 with mini monster wheels (i think they are 78... it's the white ones) if that affects anything

    I haven't ridden boards in over 30 years but let me suggest one thing. If you're not sure what to do or how to clean and relube these wheels properly, find someone to help you that knows for sure. You could wind up getting really hurt if you don't reinstall these bearing properly. If the bearings aren't sealed, find some Triflon/Triflow lubricant. It's a teflon based lube that will route out all the dirt and keep it out. It's probably the best lube in the world.

Lack of lubrication. Are you frikkin' serious? Oh, I guess, you posted in the auto maintenance category.

Take your wheels off, pull the bearings and soak them in PB PENETRANT for a couple of hours. Wipe them off and put it all back together. Make sure you don't over tighten the nuts. That will cause the bearings to bind. Give 'em a spin. If not to your liking, replace the bearings.
