What are the effects of colonization?

What were the lasting effects of British colonization of Egypt?

  • What were some positive and negative affects after the British took over and colonized Egypt? Any websites you have will be super helpful as well! I've found a few myself but i'm not quite sure about them. Please help! I need this!

  • Answer:

Egypt was only a protectorate, it was never colonised by the British, only in military sense. One plus note was of course the Suez Canal, which helped a great deal with quicker movement of trade and commerce. A negative point, Fez hats became popular for a little while and they suck.
