How do I build a gingerbread eiffel tower?

Procedures to build the Eiffel tower out of popsicle sticks?

  • What are the procedures to build the Eiffel Tower out of popsicle sticks? I need it for my 3rd grader science fair project.

  • Answer:

Step 1 Get photographs of the tower- lots of them from different angles. Step 2 Make a sketch. Try drawing it on graph paper and decide how many squares are equal to a stick. This will be your guide. Step 3 Get supplies! Elmer’s glue and a big bag of sticks. The drawing will help you decide on how many sticks you need. Step 4 -see adaviels' post- Build it!! =o)

I presume you mean a scale model :-) You need to do it in stages, because glue takes time to dry (unless you use hot-melt glue, or tiny screws), so that means giving it a week not trying to do it all the night before it's due. For white glue, you need lots and lots of small clamps to hold the sticks together. Clothes pegs work OK, though proper clamps are better. I'd probably start by making the 4 long beams that run up the corners, let them dry, then assemble them with a few cross braces and let that dry. Then go ape-**** with the pegs and fill in the rest. You can bend sticks by steaming them in the microwave, if you want the curved effect at the bottom.
