How good is the macbook for college students?

**Macbook Pro 13/15" for UIC Accounting Student?

• Hello macbook, pc & window fans, I'm going to be enrolled next year (fall 2012) in an Accounting Major at Univ. of Illinois - Chicago; and was wondering if a macbook pro is suitable for my GenEds and Accounting/CBA courses. Little did I know that I have to hold off for a while before buying--one of the bookstore managers stated that before buying & receiving my course schedule, "have an idea of what the college/major requires as of "software"." But, for any of you--College of Business students ONLY (from any school)-- have you had difficulty or not with running a windows program or some kind of accounting program on your macs? OR pcs, etc. I would really love to hear some perspective from business students ONLY. Please don't bother if all you're going to reply is "music, photo editing, photoshop..then YEAHHH omygawd MAC IS FOR YOU! :D" (no really??? mac is for the official apple lover) I've been looking at past responses from other similar questions. So please do not respond if you are a liberal arts major, or in a medical profession. I would only appreciate to see responses from business students who have used a macbook going into a business major. please don't ask me WHY on earth i would be willing to spend $x000 on a macbook pro just for business either.
