When You Say Nothing At All?

What to say when you've got nothing to say?

  • If you see someone (A work colleague or a friend/family member) and you get to talking distance with them and your both walking to the same destination could be 5 minutes to 20 minutes away. Your walking with this person after you've said the obvious "Hello, how are you" etc. Once we've both given one-five word answers and it goes silent. The other person is saying nothing, what on Earth can I say when nothing is coming to my head to say? Thank you for your time and I hope someone can come up with some great conversation savers.

  • Answer:

whatever happened today. it usually comes to you when you're in a good mood, and if the other person isn't awkward. I don't want to tell you to say something like "What are your different opinions about what happened at work today?" to your friend, but i mean, if you want to say something you will usually say it, and it will be sincere, not like small-talk rubbish. Don't worry about it anyway. You have plently more time to talk to someone who is Easy to talk to.
