How To Make Ps3 Trophies?

What is up with Dark Souls PS3?

  • Just got this game today and all I can say is, "what a f'n abomination"! I already knew before I bought it that it was extremely difficult and that you'll die hundreds of times, which is okay with me. I thought the trailer looked awesome, it had a damn near 10/10 rating by almost everyone, and has good graphics. First off, whats the deal with the character having a huge lower body and a tiny head? No matter what physique you choose he looks like a fat slob. Also, why does he sound like he's "busting a nut" every time he takes damage? The cameras auto rotation is garbage, along with the hit detection. You'll literally be facing an enemy and he swings in some random direction. Oh wait, you only have 2-3 swings before the stamina runs out. No difficulty option? No view preference? No anytime save option? For a game thats supposedly so huge you'd think there'd be a save option. Bonfire saving only is pretty lame. The graphics seem so outdated it might as well been released on ps2. Whats sad is Demons Souls was also on ps3 a couple years ago, you'd think this one would be flawless seeing as how Dark Souls only came out 6 months ago. Grass doesnt move by wind or walking through it, NPCs have no personality or movement whatsoever, character looks like a pansy, character customization was a fricking joke, and to top it off theres not even a f'n pause menu! Seriously, no pause?!? You get attacked while in your inventory, wow... Im so dissapointed with this game, I had high expectations for thanks to all the B.S. hype. I played Skyrim for 240 hours with 100% trophies collected and thought it was the most amazing game ive ever played. So why cant this game feed my need for another great adventure and hours of gameplay? Im only level 8 in Dark Souls and already feel like I cant even tolerate it anymore. Hell, even my girlfriend noticed the obvious flaws in this garbage. I expect angry responses, but thats okay. If you can make me feel different about the game then please do.

Save anywhere? Pause button? DIFFICULTY SETTINGS? I think the problem is that you're too used to modern games that have these sorts of features. These things would make Dark Souls, a game that's, as you yourself admitted, intentionally difficult, easier. The game doesn't pause when you enter a menu partially to prevent you from switching equipment and mass-using healing items in the middle of a fight, and partially because of how multi-player is integrated into the single-player game. Letting you pause whenever wouldn't work because the game doesn't have a multi- or single-player mode, it just has one, and as you can understand, pausing a multiplayer game isn't fun for anyone who doesn't need to stop for a second. If you're having problems with your character flipping around when you try to attack, you need to understand that you are not locked into a direction for an attack, and can change directions mid-swing if you hold the analog stick in a different direction. You may have been doing this by accident. Your character looks like a pansy? They look like a *zombie* unless you're good enough at the game to stay alive and keep some humanity, which according to you, you're not. The main problem seems to be that you expected Dark Souls to be the same kind of Role-playing game as Skyrim. It's not, at all. Conversations with NPCs are kept to a minimum, backstory and lore isn't shoved in your face, it's hidden in implications and sometimes just briefly mentioned in the description of an item. Hell, *spoilers if you even care at this point!* the final boss doesn't say a single word. He just runs up to you and starts trying to kill you. Probably succeeds. Also you contradicted yourself. Twice. I'd point out exactly where, but that'd ruin the fun of you actually reading what you wrote and trying to make sense of it.

These games are made for the masochist. They really didn't have good graphics in the last game either. They weren't focused on that too much. More with ways for you to die. Yeah no pause button helps you die more. That's the way it is. Accept it, try not to break your controller in rage, and finish the game or sell in back to gamestop. I played Demon Souls from start to finish and decided that I really didn't want to mess with this one. If you play it longer you might start to get into it. I kinda got obsessed with Demon Souls until I finished it but got mad plenty of times. You just can't take deaths personally and don't worry about graphics.

Just depends on your priorities. (For TL;DR version, skip to right before the sources) I love the style. If I saw it I could go "that looks a lot like ___souls". Fits in nicely. Given the state of the world, I couldn't imagine it being any other way. Some truly beautiful scenery too later in the game. Character looks I didn't pay too much attention to, just made sure he/she wasn't crazy looking. All the varied equipment you can have your character use I REALLY love. Variability actually makes me want to keep testing out new things. Auto-camera rotation's always worked fine for me. I never snap targets though, I always get out of lock on and have my character face whatever enemy I want to block or attack before re-locking on. Low tier enemies will swing very slowly and continue even if you move out of the way. Higher tier enemies will have a bead on you, but not to the point that you can't attack at all. Stamina's good. If you could swing more than 3 times with some weapons, then it would make things too easy. Got to make all consuming actions count. It's usually enough to make 2 or 3 hits, at which point you should have some left over to block/dodge. Some you can swing around 4-7 times, but their usually weaker. A difficulty option would go against what it's trying to do. It's challenging because it's challenging, not because a player decides to make it that way. View preference? I generally stick in the default option, but I don't think having a first-person mode would work out very well either. The game save states when you quit the game, no matter where you are. It's the best thing to do if you find you need to pause. You can't save whenever so that you can't just reload a save if you lose something. You lost it for good. Skyrim I was disappointed with. I fell for the hype and thought it would be a game i'd be playing for hours. It was all right, but then I just got bored with the world. If your using a specific class of weapon, there are different weapon "upgrades" you can use, but all those upgrades do is make you do more damage. It was the same move set, just an aesthetic change. That and finding random pieces of loot of the third to best armour in the game at some low level are probably what really did me in. At some point, you get so powerful you don't have to worry about anything except Fus Roh Dah gang banging by those stupid...Death Lords I think? I said I was going to at least reach the trophy related cap, but every time I pick it up I just can't start. Mage based play was pretty cool though, so one day I might just wipe out all saves and start fresh. Basically, nobody can MAKE you feel different about the game, if you just despise it, you despise it. I've had nearly all my acquaintances (who care) try to MAKE me open my eyes to what I was "missing". I didn't "miss" anything. It just didn't mesh with me. -
