Have I got an Allergic reaction to GABA Supplements?

• Have I got an Allergic reaction to GABA Supplements? Over the past week I've developed 'hives itching' around my chest and neck areas. I'm scratching like hell, especially at night. I was taking 750 mg of GABA every day to help my Anxiety. Now I've been off the Gaba supplements for three days, but I've still get the hives itching. Anyone know about the side effects of Gaba...or weather 750 mg daily can cause an allergic reaction in some people? I would welcome some advice from medical/natural medicine people....as I don't know how long the reaction will last. Thanks.

  If you haven't taken them in three days and you still have that itchiness, it doesn't sound like it - but it still could be. A benedryl (diphenhradramine) should take the itch down some if it's allergic - *but* if it's an allergy to something else, it would get rid of that too - so you wouldn't know if the GABA was the cause (though it's likely)
