Why is bullying so popular at school and is there something we can do?

This girl at school is bullying me and threatening me, what can I do? how can I get her to stop? Im scared?

• I've been starting to get really scared to go to school recently, I'm a high school senior and I've always been a really shy guy and always just focused on my studies, the problem is I go to a high school were a bunch of alcoholic jerks attend and they are the popular kids and they always pick on me, usually not in extreme ways but it does get to me. The person that bullies me the most is this girl Jessica, she is very popular but a troublemaker, she is also a lot older than me despite being in my grade, I'm 17 years old and she is 19, and since freshman year she has been picking on me, it was usually not that bad, she would make jokes about me in class, write stuff on my locker, cyberbully me a bit (she created a facebook page about me called "dorky boy", the sad thing is that I've always had a crush on her even though I detest her personality, I mean she is tall, has really big breasts, and I like her face. But I still hate her because she's so mean, and she's always doing drugs, drinking and smokes in the bathroom and now she has gone from bullying me to hating me and wanting to beat me up and humiliate me. What happened was that I always walk home from school through some woods that are next to the school, now a lot of students use these woods to smoke pot and drink after school, and sometimes even have sex. I've seen them before and never paid attention to them or told anyone, but a month ago I was walking home and I saw Jessica doing cocaine, drinking and smoking something, with a guy and a girl, none which were her boyfriend, and they all saw me but as always I didn't pay attention and just went my merry way, well I also saw them kissing and fondling each other and Jessica caught up to me and in a very rude way told me not to say anything to anyone. Well 4 days later somehow, people found out, what they were doing, and the principal ordered for her locker to be searched and they found beer and suspended her, and when she came back, somehow her boyfriend found out and broke up with her. Now I DID NOT say anything to anyone, but the day she came back she kept looking at me in a really hateful manner, and started picking on me more, it came to a point where in the hallway I told her "It's not my fault that you are a slut" and she was furious at me. Then after school when I was walking home, she was in the woods waiting for me, she confronted me and kind off pushed herself against me and was kinda aggresive, and she seemed drunk, I was scared out of my mind and I started telling her I didn't tell anyone anything and she told me to shut up and then she said in a really creepy way that one of these days she was doing to "kick my ***", then she grabbed my bookbag opened it and threw all my stuff out and she left. Now I'm really scared, I mean I know she's a girl but she is very athletic and taller than me, and I'm pretty small, skinny and well scared of her. I'm so afraid she's going to beat me up, ever since then at school she's always looking at me in a hateful way and when I was walking home today through the woods I saw her with some people smoking in the woods and she looked at me in a really mean way. What could I do here? I'm really nervous everyday now but I feel like a pansy for being scared of a girl, I'm scared if I tell anyone I'll just be laughed at, I'm thinking maybe I should try talking to her and begging her to just let this go and not try to hurt me or to apologize, I don't know what it is that I did, but it offended her. Can I get some advice?

  I totally could relate to your mom about stretch marks i have them too and i only have one child.. i tried lotions, oils, creams all sorts of home remedies but still nothing..so ii tried exercising they shrink a little but they didn't disappeared...what i would suggest to your mom is accept it and move on or talk to her doctor and see if there is any other solution but i doubt it.. good luck!!
