How can I make my own hair extensions out of my OWN hair?

I know I need the whole hair track, that comes in the extensions ready to be sold, but I dont know where to get it. I want to have different types of styles, sometimes long and sometimes short. I am guessing the hair is what is expensive so I don't mind using my OWN hair. Is this possible? Who can help me?

Cut the desired length of your hair, and superglue it to a clip or bobby pin
