How do I find my singing voice by myself?

How can i find what type of songs suit my singing voice?

  Do you know your vocal range? Don't stress if you don't, you can get a pretty good idea if you have a piano at home. To find your range, start at middle C and run some scales upwards until you feel that you are "Scratching" or not able to comfortably to hit the note. The highest note you are able to hit COMFORTABLY is the highest part of your range. Now, start on the E next to middle C and work your voice downwards with scales again. The lowest note you can hit comfortably is the lowest note in your range. Just so you know, it is very normal as a girl if you can not sing the G ( three white keys below middle C) comfortably. So now you have a good idea of your range. It isn't the most accurate if you are doing it by yourself without a teacher or coach to help you with vocal exercises to warm your vocal cords, but it is good enough. So take your range, say (lowest) A3 to G5 (highest) and find a song within it.(It helps to look at the sheet music.) Choose a music genre that you like, and don't pick anything too complicated for whatever you can do. P.S check out the link if you don't understand what an A3 or G5 is. I had to look it up again, because it is a weird thing to remember, but awesome and useful in the music world. Good luck!
