How to sound when you rap?

• Let me elaborate - How do you sound when saying your lines into the microphone? I heard sound more Rhythmical than Melodic, but how exact do you differentiate? I've been listening to a lot of rap music, studying the lines, but it might just be that my voice isn't fit for rap music. It just sounds off, not to rhythmic. Also, when you are rapping, how loud do you usually be? Do you just talk, do you yell?

  I sound like a bird being run over by a steamroller while the steam roller is being rubbed with giant sandpaper when i rap. But i only do it for fun while im listening to rap. It's kinda hard to get the tone that fits well with your rapping style. See Lil Wayne, Tupac, and Big L didn't actually speak the same way they rapped ( well Tupac did kinda ) but Eminem raps the way his voice sounds his just comes the way it is. some people have to change their tone to rap some people dont just gotta keep trying and see what feels right and sounds decent and work up from there.
