How long should an eye infection last or take too heal?

How long will it take for mildly irritated eye to heal?

  • I am new to contact lenses and earlier had a bit of a panic when i was trying to take them out, dont worry I did wash my hands and know how to remove contact lenses as I have done it perfectly for a week but today it took me a little longer t remove them causing the vessels in my left eye to become a bit inflamed, I would like to know on average how long it may take for my eye to go back to normal, I will not be applying contact lenses whilst my eye is healing.

    A warm compress over your eye 4 or 5 times a day should help soothe the eye and enhance its healing. One, maybe two days should do it. Sounds like you are very mature about this and how you wear your contacts.

Just wait for it to heal and during the healing time don't wear your contacts. If you really struggle without them however, ask to borrow someones glasses (not contacts) who has a similar degree of short sightedness/long sightedness and it may look better or even just as good as wearing your own contacts.
