What does the routine of job corps consist of?

  Here are some information about job corps as followed: Identification Job Corps is a free education and vocational training program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. The Program In addition to a high school diploma or GED, the program offers career planning and training, job placement, housing, food, health and dental care, and a living allowance. Eligibility Participants must be age 16 to 24, and U.S. citizens and meet income requirements. The Process A Job Corps participant undergoes four phases during the program, each geared toward the ultimate employability of the individual. There is the outreach and admissions phase, the career preparation period, the career development period and the career transition period. Programs of Study Many career paths are available through Job Corps. They include accounting clerk or bookkeeping, culinary arts, cosmetology, and several vocational pursuits such as brick masonry, carpentry, welding and painting. Relocation Some career paths might require participant to move to site in another city or state. When this occurs, Job Corps covers the cost of relocation.
