How to look like a model from a magazine?

Is there anyone that would help me on my way to being a model in Cottonwood, Az?:p?

  • my parents don't support me wanting to be a model at all, they think it's a waste of life:( and modeling agencies are either scams, cost money, or aren't in my area. i have no support but this is my dream, i don't need a high fashion agency i just need an experience, pictures for a magazine for a clothing store or something. I am young, but very spirited. I'm pretty smart, love to learn new things and with makeup and style i can be very beautiful. I'm very tall which doesn't help me allot socially but i think it would be a great advantage of being a model. I love design and fashion but don't have much money to buy the really nice outfits. I think modeling would, be great because i could show my happiness and creativity with a wider variety of people and let myself have a wider range of experiences. I like to do my own thing sometimes and have lots of imagination but i like having someone show me how to pose or look. Me and my friends have mini- photo-shoots but that's the most experience i have and i'm usually the one behind the camera because i want to be a professional photographer when i get older. Other than that i think i am very fun to be around, i am hard working and i don't give up. I hope i get the chance to show the world that.i just need help. not a perv or murderer but someone who needs me as much as i need them, that needs a model or client to make famous like i need a hero to pull me out of this hole and create my dream and career. please take this seriously im desperate.

  • Answer:

The only decent agencies I know in Arizona are Ford/Robert Black and Signature Models and Talent - both in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area If your parents don't support you, you can't model anyway. If you are under 18 no agency can speak to you or discuss work without a parent present. You must have a parent with you at any agency meeting, casting call or job. Only your parents can sign an agency contract on your behalf. Your parent must sign any contract for each job you are booked on. Your parents must sign a Model Release Form before you are allowed to be photographed at any job. Your parents have to agree to either homeschool you or hire a tutor if you miss school due to castings or jobs So you need to do whatever you can to convince your parents to support you or you have to wait until you are 18 if you want to do this on your own

Being a photographer would be a great career for you. Start taking High-school photography classes if that is what your are truly passionate about. Modeling can't really be a substantial career unless you become a celebrity.

you definitely won't find the answer on the internet (the internet is what i call the home of the scammers) go to a trusted agency, avoid small ones w/o sites. there are many, intact I've been to one where i live and decided it wasn't for me but hey if its your cup of tea, do a little hard work/research and do it!!
