What is it like to be a graphic designer?

  Graphic design is awesome. Love it. The job market sucks for it tho. There are SO MANY GRAPHIC DESIGNERS NOW! They dont get paid very much, unless you work for a large corp. Also, a lot of freelance graphic designers work for themselves. They usually post all over craigslist for cheap prices. It's a very competitive business.
