Question about background check?

HireRight Background check question?

  • I have to have a HireRight background check done this week. The job is for an internship but here is the catch, I am currently working at another company that is not on my resume nor was it on my resume when I applied for the company that wants to do the background check. My question is should I put this company on the application..or is it ok to leave it out? Is it true that they will only call the businesses that you said you worked for and not any company that they don't know about so in other words they wont call my job now because technically they don't know i work there.

  • Answer:

Add the company to your resume and ask that they do not call, for fear of losing your job, if this new company does not hire you. Lying is always a bad thing to do.

the real problem is that hire right will provide them with a printout from the dept of labor which shows where and when you have received a paycheck from way back in 1941 to present...
