How can I get a job like Samantha Brown's?

Could anybody offer explanations as to why i was let go from a new browns if i was only there for one day?

  • the story goes that i went to an interview for a new browns( which is a bit of high class establishment) that is opening in a kitchen position, they offered me the job which i accepted, i went to the first day of training where they went on about how they have sky high standards on food customer service etc what they expect, and gave us group work and ice breaker exercises , i went in yesterday as normal before i even had the chance to sit down, they said they wanted a word with me and said they were letting me go, i asked if the was due to their sky high standards and thinking i couldn't cope but they said no we just cant see you fitting in. i am wondering was their something about my personality or intelligence that they didn't like from something like asking questions about things that would be dealt with my sense of humour that they disliked. i knew it was a posh establishment but to get rid or me after one day takes the biscuit when they have hardly seen me do any work and makes me wonder did they get rid of others and not just me

  • Answer:

You definitely got shafted. You can't tell if a person is going to fit in after just one day. I'd say they probably hired more people than they were allowed to. You probably weren't the only one let go in this manner.

Obviously they didn't like you for some reason. That's life. Move on.
