Is a marketing degree worth it?

Masters degree in marketing worth it?

• Right now I am only a sophomore in College, but I am the type of person that does a lot of research before I make a decision on anything and I am wondering what everyone thinks about a masters degree in marketing. I am working towards my bachelors degree in marketing as we speak, but I want to know the benefits of a Masters in Marketing compared to a Bachelors. I will be attending DePaul university, downtown Chicago to get these degrees. The school I am currently attending I am holding a 3.0-3.2 GPA. I don't know my for sure grades in my classes this is an estimate... It could be higher. I just want to know everyones opinion on how much difference it will make whether I have a Bachelors or a Masters. The reason I want to go further is I wish to continue my learning and hopefully offer potential employers with the degree that I do have. Also it is mandatory through DePaul that I get an internship junior year which I planned on doing anyways, so I will have experience through this field. I also have plans to do an internship senior year as well. Thank you.

  The first thing I would suggest is making sure the school has a strength in Marketing as a major before jumping in. My close friend just graduated from FSU with a Masters in Marketing and although he is really book smart he still has no real life application. I decided to learn with him and study Network Marketing to get the best of both worlds and I know waaaaay more than he knows. Yes he has a bigger vocabulary and case studies but I know how to market to real people. One site that gave me tons of knowledge was http://OFM.ALLN247.net. I learned how to talk to people, email marketing, how to start and leverage a blog and my friend often asked me to help him with his papers becasue of my knowledge and he always got no lower than a B on papers I helped with.
