Are there any Playstation 3 games similar to age of empires?

    Yes, I own two strategy games on PS3. Sid Meiers Civilization Revolution, and Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3. Both are good games but neither are as comprehensive as the pc versions. CivRev is the better one IMO and made by the Sid Meier, the creator of the Civilizations series on pc. There are map packs for both games (some free) available from the ps store, I think there's a full Red Alert game there too.

Unfortunately no. Strategy games - both turn-based and RTS - are still mainly found on the PC. One of the problems is that these games tend to have quite complex interfaces that really lend themselves better to a mouse+hotkeys as opposed to a standard controller. Motion controls might help with this a little but not until their precision can match that of a mouse on a computer. Until then they're just too hard to control properly.

They dont make games like these recently in the strategy genre. These types of games are almost exclusive to PC as the controls just dont work well on consoles. Some recent games like age of empires are Starcraft 2, Rise of Nations and empires dawn of the modern world all for PC. There is a free version of Age of empires 2 online which is sort of the same google it.
