How do I fix my xbox 360 slim's open tray problem?

• (PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT XBOX 360 SLIM REPAIRS, I BEG YOU TO READ THE ENTIRE THING) I have had my xbox 360 slim for almost two years now. about a year and a half ago, i ringed a game by tripping on my xbox. (I know I know) the problem didn't start right there but about a month and a half later, it began to refuse to read disks. my friend's original xbox did the same and he got it to work by knocking on the top, so i tried it. it was successful and for about a year that's how i played my games. starting around three months ago, it started showing errors off and on. I want to permanently fix it I already have it taken apart. i have tried many things and nothing seems to be working. i adjusted the the screws under and around the mother board to level the silver poles (not sure on the name) and it has showed no signs of improvement. it still works when I hit it but it usually takes around 10-20 tries to get it to rev up. another problem it has is that I cant download my MW3 to my hard drive. I can, but when it finishes downloading, and i go to play a game, it will randomly say "the disk is unreadable" and so on. i have become very frustrated and would REALLY love some help....thanks

  sounds like you need a new dvd drive you can purchase one yourself here http://www.modzlink.com/2012/04/xbox-360-replacement-dvd-drives.html however replacing a dvd drive isn't that simple specially with SLIM consoles, you'll need a few special tools to extract the original DVD drive keys and then flash them over to the new dvd drive. if you don't do this you end up with a semi-bricked xbox 360 and most likely a flagged xbox 360 since the motherboard will detect a different dvd drive than the original sending out a signal to microsoft and then later on getting your xbox 360 permantly banned from xbox live. I could replace the DVD drive and flash the keys over to the new drive for $90 + shipping if you're interested contact me
