How do I add my music to my YouTube videos?
-
I upload videos to YouTube through Call of Duty Elite. I can only upload directly to YouTube and I have to use YouTube Video Editor if I want to add music or effects to my video. The music they have sucks and I would like to add some MP3 files to it. Is there any way I can add my own music to my videos through YouTube Video Editor? If not, could someone link me to a free download of Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows XP? Thanks! NOTE: The music I want to add is copyrighted

Answer:
both online YouTube Video Editor and windows live movie maker can't do that well, to add music and effects to your video then upload onto youtube, you can follow me to use Youtube Movie Maker to help you, it can be used to edit/make and upload youtube videos from various videos, photos, audios, musics, texts, lyrics, etc. and it provides many video/audio editing features, such as mix, add musics, join, cut, crop, merge, adjust volume, add special effect, add motion/action, etc. easy to run this program, add your videos and musics into the program, then drag and drop the videos into video line, and drag and drop the musics into music line, at last press "publish to youtube" button, you will get a new music video on youtube, like what you said. you can download this program from makeyoutubevideo.com, and view below channel for some online guides, youtube.com/easymakevideo, hope it can help you. by the way, if your music is DRM copyright protected music file, you have to remove the DRM copyright first, you can search "remove DRM" on yahoo or google to get more help.

Um, no, you cannot legally "add" music unless you have a license or you actually composed, performed and recorded the music yourself, which is what YouTube REQUIRES as their terms and conditions. You say, "The music I want to add is copyrighted". Yes, ALL MUSIC is copyrighted, in the USA. Because it is copyrighted, it means you do not have the legal right to upload it, which infringes the copyright. Only the copyright owners can "publish, distribute, reproduce, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, or digitally transmit" music. 17 USC § 106. You would need a license from the producers of the particular sound recording that you are planning to rip off, if you want to avoid being sued. Also, for the answer about "remove the DRM copyright first", note that 17 USC § 1204 provides for a $500,000 criminal fine for doing that the first time and twice that for each later conviction. Is it considered conspiracy when someone gives you advice on how to violate the federal law?
