Why does youtube show search suggestions from only my country?

Even after I change location filter to Youtube US which can be done on the bottom right of the web page, youtube still shows search suggestions from only my country. How is this possible?
Answer:

It's a setting that pops up from time to time, reset your history to bring it up on youtube then click no to any boxes that pop up on it, that should fix it.
