How to remove tags in google?

How to remove a page from Google search results?

  • Somehow I'm on Mylife and it shows where I live and I want to remove it. I went Google's webmaster to see how to do this but it said it cannot. I tried to remove the cached version but it did not remove anything. I cannot claim the Mylife profile either. I remember joining it out of curiosity long time ago, but then deleted it. But when I search my name on Google, it shows up now. Also, how do I remove my MTV pages from the results too? I cannot get into the account it has on the web results of my name. I tried every email address I have which I could have made it with, but it doesn't work. I can't access my profile and i want to remove it because it has my picture. I probably made it by connecting to Facebook, so I connected again right now, but it's two different profiles. I'm so angry...I want to remove those two pages because one has my current town where I live and the other has my picture. Anyone can find me and it scares me so I don't know what to do.

  • Answer:

    1. Make Robots.txt file and disallow the pages you don't want Google to index. 2. edit html of that web page and add noindex robots and googlebot meta tag 3. Go to Google Webmasters and then go to Crawler Access and enter that URL if you don't know how to write Robots.txt file then go to Google Webmaster tools and there is a option for making robots.txt file under crawler access

Since you do not control the page, Google webmaster tools, etc are of no use to you - the only option is contacting the site owner. Not sure where you live, but many countries have laws around data protection and personal information that you may be able to use if they do no co-operate. MTV: Same issue - you have to either reclaim the account by finding the correct login, or contact them directly to ask that the data be removed. Try their customer services.
