Is julie a cool name?

Do you think the name "Julie Marie" is ugly?

  • The middle name is Marie, first name Julie. For a girl (yes or no?)-I'm not looking for other name suggestions or stories, and I don't want to be told other names like Julia, Juliet, JulieAnne, or anything. I just want to know if you think it's ugly..

No, I don't think it is ugly. But honestly, you are the one picking the name, so you will have to be the one who likes it. If you have to ask if it is ugly, then maybe it is not the right name for you.

I think it is OK. On personal note, every Julie (Ju-Lee) I have met are rude, but that does NOT mean anything. I think Julie (Ju-Lee) is an "old" name, but in the end this is YOUR child and you should name her what YOU want, no matter what anyone says...including family. Now, here is the question: There is someone I work with whose name is spelled Julie, but her name is pronounced July. Are you going for Ju-lee or July? I noticed you added some info. The name Jewel-Lee is pretty. I only know of one Jewel and her name is Jewel Faith. She is 4 years-old.
