The redness of a sunburn?

How to reduce redness in face / permanent sunburn?

  • I went skiing a few years ago and didn't wear suntan lotion, I never get sunburn in the UK because I am not pale. But I got bad sunburn on my face where my goggles didn't touch (so may be wind burn?) Now, a few years later, my face is still red and there is a clear line where my ski goggles once were. What can I do to reduce the redness? I've heard about green tinted moisturiser but they are all like £50 for a tiny bottle.

  • Answer:

Benefit cosmetics do a yellow powder and concealer that is brilliant for reducing the appearance of redness, I can't remember what its called but I'm sure you'll be able to Google the description.

Apply Pure Aloe Vera gel once a day. This will help in reducing redness and preventing bumps from forming on your skin. You may also try this: peel a potato, shred it, apply it to the face. The potato juice helps in getting rid of the tan. Also try a green primer to cover it up in the meantime. These are not costly and can be bought at a local drugstore. Good Luck.
