I'm kinda open to anything as far as a job goes, but what interests me is Sports/activity related work, youth staff, general cruise staff, hotel staff. Anything entry level. These guys work long hard hours and they are usually gone from home about 9 months at a time. The days the cruise starts are very long because you have to carry the customers luggage from The upstairs halls down to the loading dock and then unload it to customs. That might start at 3 or 4 am. People leave the cabins about 8am and you have to go make up the room and get it sparkling clean for the arriving customers. They may start re boarding about 1 or 2 pm. That means bringing the luggage up to the rooms and greeting the passengers. But it is a way of life you can get used to.. Some cruise ships have crew members from 40 or 50 countries. . Visit the web sites of the various shipping companies. Carnival has purchased about half of the major cruise lines so start with their web site.

There is no such such as: Just a job on a cruise ship. This is like saying, I want a job with Donald Trump. You need to have experience in the job you are applying for, a minimum of 2 years. The positions where you do not need previous work experience are filled with nationals from Asia mainly and there are agencies which supply these people. Youth Staff you need experience in working with children Cruise staff in entertainment Hotel Staff is not a position, it only defines the department and the status(Hotel and Staff, compared to Crew) For much more info I recommend the below sites: http://www.cruiselinesjobs.com/ - for a lot of info on life onboard a cruise ship http://www.cruisejobhelp.com/ - for a professional evaluation of your CV, work experience and qualifications, lots of tips and info and your chances of applying for a job in the cruise industry. http://www.allcruisejobs.com/ - for the latest open positions onboard cruise ships. http://www.facebook.com/#!/cruiselinesjobs - Cruiselinesjobs on Facebook

First of all you need to be at least 21 years of age to work on a cruise ship. Cruise lines prefer it if you have experience in the field that you want to work in so for example if you wanted to work in the cruise ship restaurants then they prefer it if you did some work in a restaurant before you apply. My advice would be to contact the cruise lines and get some more information from them. Some cruise lines also contract work in for things like the shops.

You can't, if you're a US citizen, unless it's in the entertainment staff.
